My friend who rides with Snickersville Hounds, a foxhunt located in Middleburg Virginia, invited me to come photograph the ride. I couldn't follow this time (maybe one day!) but I photographed the group getting ready to ride out. It was a really fun experience, very different than what I've photographed before. But, I love it. I had another shoot with one of my favorite clients, Sync Equestrian. We shoot together a lot! For this photoshoot, the client asked to showcase a variety of horsewomen - as in, not professional models. Instead, these are professional horsewomen, with the exception of Natalia, the CEO of Sync Equestrian. We decided on natural light, as we wanted a soft look, out in the field with the horses. Months before Courtney and Richard's wedding, they did an engagement photoshoot at Pearmund Cellars in Warrenton, Virginia. My good friend Amanda modeled for me in this styled shoot on her horse farm. Hair and makeup was done by Aslan Harris. The dress is a SheIn dress, with a tulle skirt over it. The tulle skirt was made by me in about 30 minutes. Tulle is inexpensive and photographs so beautifully. This combination didn't make the most perfect dress ever, but we did throw it together pretty fast, and it still looked amazing. Fresh faced natural makeup and a whimsical hair braid with fresh flowers.[...]
